Financial services

We do this through our sister firm, Malthouse & Company Wealth Management, which is supervised and controlled by John Malthouse and Mark Herbert, both chartered accountants. It is a very important part of our work and we are different from other IFA firms.

• We are completely independent, with no ties to any other organisation.
• We genuinely subscribe to strong ethical codes under the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Financial Services Authority. Our clients’ interests come first.
• Our staff IFAs are fully experienced and fully competent. To those characteristics we add control and supervision by chartered accountants. There is no stronger combination.
• We have an administration and support team that is second to none. They help us to continue to look after our clients when all the initial business has been done. We watch matters regularly and we review regularly.
• In this work we operate on a standard commission basis and we are transparent. We opt for regular renewal commissions, so that enables us to keep a watch over our clients’ pensions, investments and other products without any cost.
• We provide a completely open, honest and competent service.

These are the key people:

Stuart Watters MPFS – Independent Financial Adviser

Stuart has worked for over twenty-five years in financial services, mainly in pension provision and retirement planning. He has achieved the Advanced Planning Certificate in Pensions and is authorised to offer advice on pensions legislative changes and occupational transfers. Stuart specialises in investment planning and tax mitigation.

Katie Nunn – Independent Financial Adviser

Katie has worked in the financial services industry since leaving university and has over six years' experience working for life and pensions companies. She has gained the full Financial Planning Certificate and Mortgage Advice Qualification and is currently working towards the Diploma in Financial Planning.

David Baker CertPFS – Paraplanner

Dave has almost fourteen years financial services experience, having spent the majority of this time at Scottish Life. He has now been with Malthouse & Company for five years. He has gained the full Financial Planning Certificate and is working towards achieving the Diploma in Financial Planning. He is enthusiastic and committed to providing a first class service to our clients.

Rachael Craven – Paraplanner

Rachael has worked for twelve years in the financial services industry dealing with pensions, investments and protection. She has achieved the full Financial Planning Certificate and Mortgage Advice Qualification and is currently working towards the Diploma in Financial Planning.

Kelly Capon – Paraplanner

Kelly has worked in the financial services industry for over four years dealing with mortgages, pensions, investments and protection. She has achieved the full Financial Planning Certificate as well as Mortgage Advice and Pension Simplification Qualifications and is currently working towards the Diploma in Financial Planning.
