    Guy Playfer – Director

    Guy is a history graduate who trained with us before qualifying as a chartered accountant. He is our Audit Compliance Principal overseeing all areas of audit in the firm. As well as general business advice he also specialises in charities, solicitors and corporate finance.

    Sam Evans – Director

    Sam is a Mathematics graduate who trained with a firm in the South of England. He joined us in 2011 and became Director in 2019. Sam runs a general practice portfolio of owner-managed small and medium sized companies, and he specialises in management accounts and business advisory. He also manages a large number of personal tax clients.

    Mark Herbert – Director

    Mark is a history/economics graduate who trained with us before qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1990 and he has been here ever since.
    He became a partner in 1999. He runs a general practice portfolio which contains a wide range of businesses with quite an emphasis on the legal sector, helping out a large number of solicitors and barristers. He also deals with a significant amount of personal tax. Mark specialises in business consultancy.

    Steve Beckwith – Director

    Stephen trained with a big 4 firm and was a manager within a Business Services Department. He joined us in 1985 and became a partner in 2001. As well as carrying out the usual general practice work he deals with complex projects and research assignments. Stephen specialises in tax and in particular at tax investigations.

    John Malthouse – Director

    John set up the firm in 1976. An economics graduate, he was formerly a council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and is a member of its Practice Society. He deals with all aspects of the firm’s work but specialises in Estate planning and business advice, and he carries out all our litigation support work.
