We have a lot of new work coming in from both existing clients and from new sources. There seems to be no letup and we can see that the inflow will continue. We are very very busy.
Our existing staff are very hard-working and competent but there is a lot of pressure and we would like to relieve it by taking on more people. It is an exciting and very involved life with a great deal of personal contact with a wide range of high quality clients.
We are looking for two accountants to carry out management accountancy, annual accounts preparation, taxation (personal and corporate) and audit.
This job involves working very closely with a director and, crucially, being a good communicator with our clients. Everything is built on the strength of our personal relationships with them however large they are – and some of them are pretty large.

AN ACCOUNTANT/BOOK KEEPER FOR US
We are also looking for an in-house accountant to take care of the firm’s own accountancy. That means maintaining our accounting system using Sage and Iris, keeping our ledgers up-to-date (including our time ledger) and preparing monthly management figures. Credit control is involved as well and dealing with suppliers where relevant.
There is a small amount of client work involved, but predominantly this job involves dealing with our own figures. In other words, no tax work. We think it is a 3 day a week role, and our payroll department needs help on the other 2 days. So full time, if possible. Remote working could be acceptable.

AN OFFICE JUNIOR
We are also looking for a Junior Office Assistant and of course we will train. This post involves a wide range of duties including some basic accountancy, some admin, and some reception work. It is a starting point for someone who would like a professional career and it is the chance of a job in a warm and friendly family firm dealing with a very wide range of clients where initiative and self-discipline will be well rewarded. We are flexible about the qualifications and experience for the job but a minimum of a three good A-levels is required. For selected applicants we will provide a much broader job specification before either side commits.
A PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR
We are also looking for a part time payroll administrator to assist our busy payroll department. This would include end to end running of payroll for a variety of clients, calculating statutory payments, calculating holiday payments as well as answering queries with HMRC/Pensions. Previous experience of Payroll is necessary and Microsoft Excel knowledge essential.
The role will pay a competitive salary as well as offer excellent terms and conditions. The hours required would be between 15 and 22.5 per week.
